Mediatek officially introduces the Mediatek Dimensity 9300, top system-on-chip.
Dimensity 9300 will be equipped with four Cortex-X4 CPU cores, one of which has a clock speed of up to 3.25 GHz, while the other three are 2.85 GHz.
There are four Cortex-A720 CPU cores, each with a speed of 2 GHz, so there are a total of eight CPU cores with a 1+3+4 cluster configuration. As for the graphics processor (GPU), it is using the ARM Immortalis-G720
Dimensity 9300's performance will be 10 percent higher than its potential rival from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will allegedly come with 1 Cortex-X4 CPU core with a speed of 3.19 GHz, 5 Cortex-A720 2.96 GHz cores, and 2 Cortex-A520 2.27 GHz so it has a 1+5+ cluster configuration. 2.

No Efficiency Core?
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 CPU configuration raises questions about power consumption because the eight cores used (4 Cortex-X4 and 4 Cortex-A720) are high-performance cores.
There is no efficiency core, aka a power-saving CPU core as is usually found in SoCs, to handle light tasks while saving power.
The Dimensity 9300 itself will be the successor to the previous flagship, the Dimensity 9200, which is now used in high-end devices such as the Oppo Find N3 Flip and Vivo X90.
MediaTek is believed to be producing the Dimensity 9300 using 4nm fabrication process technology from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), which is its manufacturing partner. The latest news says that the Dimensity 9300 will be launched this month.
