The unlock bootloader status permanent, you can root it using flash stock or custom ROM.

  • Password is "ombob opreker" without quote if needed
  • Dont flash stock ROM on EDL mode

When Do You Need Bypass UBL?

You can use this tutorial to solve problem to root or flashing custom rom

  • You don’t want to wait 7 days using official way
  • Your phone got brick
  • You forgot your mi account and doesn’t have phone number or email to recover it
  • You buy the phone second handed and it still have mi account

File Needed To Bypass UBL 

Step To Bypass UBL 

  • Make sure on last MIUI Update
  • unplug power source > test point to download mode
  • Flash bypass UBL using miflash
  • plug power source
  • press 3 button to boot into custom recovery (RedWolf)

Replace recovery     

  • "Install" > "Install Image" > select mi8937.img
  • Flash appender-v4-rec-santoni.zip
  • When it finish, unplug power source and plug it again
  • press 3 button to boot into custom recovery again 
  • Now it using mi8937 recovery

Flash Custom ROM Mi MSM8937

This is for Dynamic Partitions ROM. For complete tutorial check here
  • Uncheck "Unmount System before installing a ZIP" in Settings
  • Flash Retrofit Dynamic Partitions Converter
  • Format data
  • Wipe metadata, data, cache dalvik partition
  • Flash Appender-rec.zip
  • Flash the ROM
  • Flash gapps & magisk if needed
  • Format data
  • flash Appender.zip
  • Reboot and Enjoy

  • Magisk Required additional Setup
  • adb reboot recovery using retrofit recovery

No

  • Update/ Replace magisk

Thing That Make Your 4x HardBrick

If you have Retrofit custom ROM and accidentally make it bootlop *e.g replace magisk, DONT try bypass UBL again!! 

Just boot into retrofit recovery and and flash Appender.zip!

How Root Your Devices

You can't flash boot boot from fastboot, and you should NOT update magisk from the apps, it will make you device BRICK!

Step :
  • create patch boot
  • copy to internal
  • reboot recovery using button combi
  • flash magisk_patch into boot partition
  • flash Appender.zip
  • reboot system
  • Open Magisk
  • Magisk Required additional Setup > Yes

Revert back to standard partition ROM

Steps if you want use the regular riva/ rova custom ROM
  • Enter recovery
  • Untick "Settings > Unmount System before installing a ZIP"
  • Do "Advanced > Unmap Super Devices"
  • Flash Appender-rec.zip
  • Flash the ROM 
  • Factory Reset (Format data is recommended)
  • Turn off phone > boot again into recovery  (vol up + power)
  • Flash Gapps and magisk (optional)
  • flash Appender.zip
  • Wipe data, cache, dalvik partition
  • Reboot and Enjoy
